Katelyn Lee
1.If you could make one rule that everyone in the world had to follow, what would it be?
Service shaped my life. It has inspired me to become the President of the National Charity League and a bible study mentor. I plan to become a doctor. This year, I will attend a summer school medical program at UCLA and represent California at the Congress of Future Medical Leaders.
2.If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I love to laugh! I have always had laughter in my home; the best laughs come from the silliest things. Laughing not only makes you live longer, but it also boosts your immune system, lowers stress, decreases pain, and relaxes your muscles. It really is the best medicine!
3.When do you feel a child or teen becomes an adult?
I love to travel; give me a destination and I’m there! I’ve gotten stuck in a blizzard in Mammoth, stranded in an airport in Hawaii, hydroplaned on the Georgia state highway, hiked a glacier in Alaska, snorkeled with an octopus in the Caribbean, and climbed the Great Wall of China!
4.What do you feel you have learned in life that will be the most useful?
I am lucky that I go to one of the top college prep schools in the nation. It’s taught me the value of working hard, has inspired me to push myself and develop strong leadership skills. I have become CPR certified and am a member of the Varsity tennis team and dance team.
5.What do you feel is the hardest job in the world and why?
Born on July 4th, I am definitely independent! I’ve been exposed to many things in my life and have faced adversity and challenges. I’m a positive person and those experiences sparked creativity and interest in many different things. I wanted to paint, to play piano, make my high school dance team!
